The Clean Team has finished their work term and will soon be going back to school. We would like to thank you all for being so kind and welcoming, and for giving us this wonderful opportunity. We wish you all the very best, and hope that you are as good to the future clean teams as you were to us.

The clean Team has released the first video in the video compilation for our summer concert series. We will be creating these videos weekly for the concerts. A link to our channel and to the Night Owl video can be found below.
The 2018 BFN Clean Team has been made. The BFN Clean Team will be cleaning up the BFN area; running special events, such as the summer concert series; updating this page with their activities; and assisting with other BFN projects, such as the meet the members videos.
This week (August 20th to 23rd) was the last week for the clean team. They spent the week helping with the graffiti Lunch & Learn, picking up donations for the Red Cross BBQ, and preparing for the end of their term. We have thoroughly enjoyed working here, and everyone was so supportive. We would like to thank you for being such great people to work with, and we wish you all the best in the future.
Last Week (August 13th to 17th) the clean team continued to weed the cracks in the sidewalks along Main Street, the Lawrence Amphitheater, as well as in and around the planters. They also worked on their project and coping the business directory to the new website.
Last week (August 7th to 10th) the clean team continued to weed the cracks in the sidewalks along main street. In addition to this, they also started to whipper snip where the overgrowth has started to come back. In addition to this, they continued to copy the business directory to the new website.
Last week (July 30th to August 3rd) the clean team continued to weed the cracks in the sidewalk, as well as rewedding the planters along Main Street. They also cleaned the Lawrence Amphitheater for the weeks concert, put on by Mark Roberts and the Shorewood Drifters. To end the week, they continued to transfer the business directory to the website that is still under development.
Last week (July 23rd to 27th) the clean team spent most of their time on the streets, removing weeds that had started to grow in the cracks in the sidewalks. In addition to that, they continued to work on the new website (which still isn’t up yet so keep coming to this one) and looking for data regarding a new project. In addition to this, the clean team helped run the week’s concert, which consisted of a bouncy castle, face painting, snow cones, country music played by State of Mind, and a raffle for the Make-a-Wish foundation run by Dana’s Collision Center.
Last week (July 16th to July 20th) The clean team worked with the rest of the BFN team on the Dave Hawkins Memorial Golf Tournament. This included picking up prizes, taking pictures, giving out prizes, set up and clean up, as well as running the mini putt mini game. Afterwards, they returned to cleaning up Main Street by wiper snipping some of the overgrowth, as well as picking up trash along the street.
Last week (July 9th to July 13th) the clean team got its last member situated and oriented. They then spent the week finishing with the weeding of the planters and then planting some new marigolds in them. They also used the whipper snippers to clean up some of the worst overgrowth along main street. They also picked up garbage along the sidewalk.
Last week (July 3rd to July 6th) the Clean Team has started their beautification of main street. To start, they have started weeding the planters along Main Street, so that they can have new flowers planted in them. In addition, they started updating the business directory on the Business Fredericton North website.
Today (August 23rd) was the last day for the clean team. They cleaned up all their supplies and put them in storage for next year and tidied up the office. We would like to thank everyone for being so supportive over the past eight weeks, and to let you all know how much we enjoyed working with you. We hope to see you all again. Please be as supportive to next year’s clean team as you were to us. We wish you all the best.
Yesterday (August 22st) the clean team continues to pick up donations for the Brookside Complex Red Cross Fundraiser and collected more BFN dollars. They also started to put the finishing touches on the new website.
Yesterday (August 21st) the clean team set up the signs for the night’s concert and helped with the graffiti Lunch & Learn. In addition to this, they picked up donations for the Brookside Complex Red Cross Fundraiser and collected BFN dollars.
Yesterday (August 20th) The clean team continued to weed the planters, as well as the cracks in the sidewalk.
Yesterday (August 16th) the Clean Team continued to weed in and around the planters, as well as whipper snipping some overgrowth.
Yesterday (August 15th) the clean team continued to weed the planters, as well as continuing to transfer the business directory to the new website and adding some aesthetic touches to the website.
Yesterday (August 14th) the clean team weeded the Lawrence Amphitheater. They also picked up garbage along main street, and started to re-weed the planters.
Yesterday (August 13th) the clean team continued to whipper snip the overgrowth, as well as continuing to weed the cracks in the sidewalk along main street. Special thanks to the Bowl-a-Drome for lunch.
Yesterday (August 9th) the clean team made and uploaded a video for the 30 Years After concert to YouTube. Afterwards, they continued to work on the new project, and coping the business directory to the new website.
Yesterday (August 8th) the clean team cleaned the Lawrence Amphitheater for the nights concert, and then continued to weed the cracks in the sidewalks along Main St, as well as starting to whipper snip where the overgrowth has started to come back.
Yesterday (August 7th) the Clean Team continued to weed the cracks in the sidewalks along Main Street.
Today (August 2nd) the clean team worked on coping the business directory to the new website, continuing to collect data, and cleaning the BFN office.
Yesterday (August 1st) The clean team continued to weed along the sidewalks of main street. Afterwards, they prepared for the night’s concert, Mark Roberts and the Shorewood Drifters.
Yesterday (July 31st) the clean team finished weeding in and around the planters, and then continued to weed the cracks in the sidewalks.
Yesterday (July 30th) the clean team continued to weed the cracks in the sidewalk in the morning. After lunch, they re-weeded the planters, due to the weeds starting to grow back.
Yesterday (July 26th) the clean team worked on copying our current business directory to the new website, as well as looking at data for a new project.
Yesterday (July 25th) the clean team continued weeding the overgrowth along the cracks in the sidewalks on Main Street. Afterwards, the clean team helped with the Summer Concert Series, where State of Mind performed, as well as some special activities; including face painting, snow cones, a bouncy castle, as well as a raffle run by Dona’s Collision Center for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Yesterday (July 24th) the clean team went along main street, giving out flyers for the upcoming New Brunswick Day Celebrations, while weeding and whipper snipping weeds starting to grow in the cracks along the side walk.
Yesterday (July 23rd) the clean team, along with the rest of the BFN team started to update the website. The current website will remain (and receive regular updates) until the updated version is complete.
Today (July 19th) the clean team started by splitting into two groups. One group worked on weed whacking areas along the street. The other group went back to Riverbend Golf course to pick up the rest of the stuff left there from the tournament with other members of the BFN team. Afterwards, the clean team meet up with the rest of the BFN team to discuss the weeks events. Next, the entire clean team went back to the street to do a bit more weed whacking
Yesterday (July 18th) The clean team worked with the rest of the BFN team to put on the 18th annual Dave Hawkins Memorial Golf Tournament. The Clean Team worked on many projects, including (but not limited to) running the mini put challenge, tacking the team photos, and helping to give out the prizes.
Tuesday (July 17th) The clean team worked inside due to the threat of thunderstorms. They started by the day by creating the first video for the 2018 Summer concert series, on the performance by Night Owl last Wednesday (July 11th). They then assisted the rest of the BFN Team with some of the final touches for the Dave Hawkins Memorial Golf tournament. In addition to this, they also created three playlists (2018 summer concert series, meet the members, and meet the board) on YouTube, allowing for easier navigation of our page, which can be found below.
Yesterday (July 16th) The clean team started the day by picking up donations for the upcoming David Hawkins Memorial Golf tournament. Afterwards, the clean team went up and down main street picking up trash. Special thanks to Boll-a-drome, Esso, and Swifties for refreshments along the way.
Last Thursday (July 12th), the clean team spent the day cleaning up garbage on main street. While they cleaned most of the street, there are still some areas left to clean. In addition to picking up garbage, they started to discuss with the rest of the BFN team their roles during the David Hawkin’s Memorial Golf Tournament.
Yesterday (July 11th), the clean team started the day by finishing planting the marigolds in the planters along main street. Following this, the clean team continued to whipper snip overgrowth along main street. When they ran out of gas, they started getting ready for the concert last night, sweeping the stage and seats, putting up signs, and picking up garbage around the amphitheater. Afterwards, they refueled the whipper snippers and whipper snipped the worst areas on main street. Late in the afternoon, the clean team helped the band, night owl, with set up and made the final preparations. At Seven, the band started their wonderful performance, engaged the entire crowd. Afterwards, the Clean Team cleaned up after the concert and called it a day.
Yesterday (July 10th), the clean team enlisted the help of Jordan, a member of past year clean teams, so that they could dived into two groups. While Evan and Jordan were wiper snipping some of the overgrown areas, Tristan and Logan have started planting marigolds in the planters.
Yesterday (July 9th) the last member of this year’s Clean Team, Logan, joined us. To start the day, Evan and Tristan cleaned the Lawrence Amphitheater in preparation for the night’s concert. At noon, Logan was introduced to the BFN team, and was given his orientation. Afterwards, the team finished weeding the planters along main street until supper. After, they started with the concert, setting up the final touches. During the amazing performance by the Rick Reissner Band, the Clean Team were taking pictures, which will be posted to BFN’s social media pages in the upcoming days.
